Marty Walker has been a licensed Realtor® since 2006. He grew up in Morris County, Texas. In high school he was awarded the Citizenship Medal and DeKalb Young Farmer Award. He got his start in real estate, negotiating land purchases and lignite leases for North American Coal Corporation. Marty has a degree in Agriculture and Education. He spent most of his early career managing timberland, reclaimed mine land and wildlife for two large US corporations and the public. He also spent 10 years in Austin Texas and Washington DC as the Government Relations Manager for North American Coal Corp. Marty was selected by his peers as the Longview Area Association of Realtors, Realtor Rookie of the year in 2007. He was also selected Best Realtor in East Texas 2013 by the Longview News Journal. He has earned the Accredited Real Estate Professional (AREP) designation. Marty’s extensive background in pasture/range and timber and wildlife management has allowed him to specialize in East Texas ranches for sale, timberland for sale, recreational land for sale, rural homes with small and large acreage, homes in town for sale. He lived and practiced real estate in Longview for 10 years and is very familiar residential property around Longview including Hallsville, Pine Tree, Spring Hill, White Oak, Lake O The Pines including Jefferson, Harleton, New Diana, Ore City, Daingerfield and Hughes Springs. Marty and his wife, Leanna, enjoy spending time with grandchildren and fishing for monster catfish and crappie. They are member of Church on the Rock in Daingerfield. She loves to fish as much as he does. They can usually be found cheering on the granddaughter’s softball team somewhere in Texas. They love the lakes and rivers of East Texas.
Brian has been a licensed Texas Realtor since 2008 and now is the Broker/Owner of United Country | Double Creek Land and Homes which specializes in brokering farms and ranches, country homes, timberland and recreational properties in East Texas. He was born and raised in Cass County. He attended Texas A&M University on a Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo scholarship and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Education. Brian taught high school Agricultural Science and Forestry for 6 years before beginning work in the field of forestry eventually owning his own forest products company. Through the years he has managed timberland across East Texas and invested in land and other types of real estate. Brian’s passion is educating landowners in the process of buying and selling rural land and teaching them the aspects of how to make that land highly productive while maintaining sustainability.
Brian serves his community in multiple roles. He is currently serving as President of the Cass County Farm Bureau Board of Directors, Marion-Cass Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Directors, and he was recently nominated and is currently serving on the Texas Farm Bureau Forestry Commodity Committee. He has a heart to teach and since leaving public education he has continued to teach young people through his church and also local 4-H Clubs, where he coaches youth in Natural Resources projects. His 4-H Forestry teams have had multiple state championships and competed nationally in 2011 and 2016.
Brian and his wife Marcie have been married for 29 years and live in the small community of Kildare on their ranch where they raise cattle and timber. They have 2 sons, Caleb, his wife, Montana and Joshua. As a family, they enjoy hunting whitetail deer, dove, turkey, elk, and hogs as well as fishing in nearby Wright Patman Lake, Caddo Lake and Lake O’ the Pines. The Whatley family are members of Cross Creek Cowboy Church in Atlanta, Texas.
